Llety Cynin is a lovingly converted coach house on a working dairy farm in the Carmarthenshire countryside. It has been run as a family business since 2008 and boasts 13 en-suite rooms, a spa and leisure centre complete with a 40-foot indoor heated swimming pool, restaurant and bar and hosts a number of weddings and events each year.

EvieLife conducted a site survey and completed the electrical design for the installation, so everything was taken care of for Llety Cynin. After the winter 2022/23 spike in electricity prices, Llety Cynin had to implement a diesel generator to protect their business from the uncertainty of the energy price market. EvieLife diligently designed the system to deal with any possible fluctuations caused by the generator.

In addition to this, EvieLife were proud to assist Llety Cynin to secure a 57% reduction in their electricity bill by working with a strategic partner, Commercial Energy Group. EvieLife will continue to provide advice to Llety Cynin over the duration of the partnership to ensure they always receive competitive rates on their energy costs.

Horizon View, Westward Ho!, Barnstaple

Horizon View is a 63-apartment development on the waterfront of Westward Ho! Beach that attracts staying guests year-round to this stunning stretch of the North Devon coastline. As the only publicly accessible EV charging point available to visitors and residents in Westward Ho!, Horizon View is setting the standard for holiday rentals in North Devon by offering a dual output 11kW charger in partnership with EV charge point specialist, EvieLife.

The Horizon View Management Committee commented, “We had been trying to implement EV charging for some time but, because of the complications of having 63 different owners, it was hard to find a solution that everyone could be happy with. Therefore, EvieLife's fully funded installation model was a perfect option for Horizon View. What we like most is EvieLife's payment system that allows a separate, lower rate to be paid by our residents so its fair for everyone.”

EvieLife's local installation team worked with the hotel to
establish the available electrical capacity and design a system that was able to integrate into their existing supply. The existing infrastructure is protected by EvieLife's intelligently designed dynamic load balancing mechanism. This means The Spa doesn't have to compromise on any of its hotel, bar, restaurant, beauty and wellbeing or wedding services whilst still being able to provide EV charging as the output of the chargers is tailored dynamically to the activity inside the hotel.

The hotel's general manager commented“We have undertaken a commitment to increase the
sustainability throughout the hotel and encourage new
eco-friendly initiatives. Adding to our existing initiatives,
EV charging is our latest commitment to reducing the

an increase in the number of guests requesting EV
charging and I'm in no doubt this will only continue to grow.”
